Edit Train Visit form
The Edit Train Visit form enables you to edit details such as schedule, route, and holds/permissions for the selected train visit.
If you log in at the facility or lower scope level, you can see train visits only for the current facility.
You can edit the information displayed in the following blocks:
Required: Edit the Rail Road, Train Direction, and Service information for the train visit.
If you change the direction of a train visit from inbound only to outbound only, you must update each individual railcar visit by manually dumping the railcar visits to the outbound train visit through XPS.
Schedule: Edit the estimated times of arrival and departure, the Facility, and the Next Facility for the train visit.
In the Next Facility lookup field, N4 lists all the operational facilities in the same complex by default. If you set RLRAIL007 (RAIL_INCLUDE_NON_OP_FACILITIES) (on page 1) to True, N4 lists both the operational and non-operational facilities.
If you select the same value for the Facility and the Next Facility field for a train visit (which is not allowed), N4 displays the following error message:
"Values for "Facility" and "Next Facility" match. Please select different values for these fields."
You cannot change the train visit Facility directly after railcars are associated with a train visit. Instead, you must use the I/B Railcars tab (on page 1) in the Train Inspector (on page 1) to delete or disassociate all railcars and then change the train visit Facility.
Use the following tabs to edit additional information for a train visit:
Timing: Edit the actual times of arrival and departure, the time to begin receiving units, and the time work started and ended for the selected train visit.
You can select the Dray Off check box to indicate that the selected train visit will not be arriving at the facility and all the containers routed for the selected train visit as the outbound carrier must be automatically treated as dray-offs at the gate.
Basics: Edit the load and discharge estimates to update the schedule and to record any Notes for the selected train visit. The information entered in the Notes field is displayed in the Train Visit Notes column field of the XPS Train Schedule window.
Holds/Permissions: Add/release holds and grant/cancel permissions for the selected train visit. For more information, see Holds/Permissions tab (on page 1).
Event History: Record events or view details of recorded events for the selected train visit. For more information, see Event History tab (on page 1).
Limits: Set the weight, length, and Max TEU limits for the train visit. When you record these values, N4 transfer them to XPS to validate load plans.
